Why we need this / what value this brings
Lift-and-shift gets you off old infra fast with minimal risk; replatforming gets you the new platform's benefits but takes longer and risks more.
When to use this
Lift-and-shift under time pressure; replatform when there's room to actually benefit from the new platform's idioms.
How to use or implement this
Mostly relevant if Localz ever migrates hosting providers — not an immediate concern.
