Managed L3-L7 firewall for VPCs — deep packet inspection and domain/URL filtering at the network boundary. Most-used open-source equivalent is Suricata — the standard open-source IDS/IPS/firewall engine with deep packet inspection, deployable inline via a Gateway_Load_Balancer-style pattern; pfSense/OPNsense are common alternatives when a full firewall appliance UI matters more than raw DPI throughput.
