Amazon MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka)
Fully managed Apache Kafka clusters — for migrating existing on-prem Kafka workloads to AWS without changing client code. Since MSK is Kafka, the open-source path is self-hosting Apache Kafka directly (most used, same API/ecosystem, zero migration friction) or Redpanda as a lighter-weight, Kafka-API-compatible alternative with simpler ops.
