Uses machine learning and pattern matching to discover, classify, and protect sensitive data (PII, credentials, financial data) stored in S3 at scale — the "what's actually in this bucket" layer, distinct from AWS_Config (resource config) and Amazon_GuardDuty (behavior). No true turnkey open-source equivalent at S3-fleet scale; Presidio is the closest building block — solid PII detection/anonymization engine, but requires wiring up your own scan orchestration across storage.
