Serverless key-value/document database with single-digit-millisecond performance at any scale, partition-based horizontal scaling, DAX caching, Global Tables, and Streams. Most-used open-source equivalent is Apache Cassandra — the closest wide-column, horizontally-partitioned, high-throughput analogue; ScyllaDB (Cassandra-API-compatible, C++ rewrite) is the common alternative when raw throughput/latency matters more than ecosystem maturity.
